Welcome to the Calvert Garden Club!

We are a social as well as a service group. Our purpose is to gather together to study horticulture, to promote artistry in floral and landscape design, to protect our natural resources, and to encourage conservation practices. Our goals are to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, and to share our skills with each other and with our community.
Calvert Garden Club is affiliated with a number of non-profit and educational associations.  Please see our affiliates list.
We hope that you will explore our site to see the many ways we contribute to the Calvert County community. If you find our activities interesting and want to find out more please Contact Us.

Greening of Calvert County Courthouse and Square

Visit the Courthouse Square, Linden, and Boyd’s King Park to enjoy festive decorations for the holiday season!

December 4 through January 1
Main Street and Church Street in Prince Frederick, MD

Since 1936 Calvert Garden Club has decorated the Courthouse.  This year evergreen sprays will adorn lamp posts with accents of native driftwood, oyster shells, and river birch branches – a tribute to our Chesapeake Bay treasures.  Over 30 wreaths will deck the buildings.  Stroll through the Courthouse Square and visit Linden and Boyd’s King Park with your family/friends for a special holiday event.
