Founded in May 1936, the Calvert Garden Club has a proud service history to the Calvert County community. We are a service and social group dedicated to horticulture, floral and landscape design, and environmental conservation. We gather to expand our knowledge, share our expertise, and promote sustainable practices within our community. Over the years, we have expanded our involvement in local community projects while continuing cherished traditions such as our annual April Plant Sale fundraiser and the December Greening of the Calvert County Courthouse.
Our site is a treasure trove of gardening and conservation resources, including grants and community projects. Discover how we contribute to Calvert County and explore the educational activities we offer to our members. Explore our website to learn more about our history, leadership and committees, membership expectations, and how to get involved.
Join Us and Become a Member
We welcome new members year-round and meet from September through June. Our gatherings feature educational programs, field trips, community service projects, and annual plant sales.
Like many clubs, we follow a sponsor model to help prospective members get acquainted with our community. If you know a current active member, you can ask them to sponsor you. If not, please CONTACT US, and our Membership Chair will be happy to connect you with a sponsor and provide more details. For additional information, check out our brochure.
