Financial Support to Community Organizations

In addition to the many hours spent on club projects, the following cash donations were made during the April 2020 – March 2021 year by the Calvert Garden Club to support community organizations.

Ladies of Charity (Associated with St. Anthony’s Church in North Beach) The Ladies operate a food pantry, provide personal care items not covered by food stamps, operate a seasonal fresh food distribution, provide holiday meals to pantry clients, provide back packs and school supplies for children of clients, organize and distribute Christmas gifts for children of        clients, provide emergency financial assistance to the poor. $1,000.00
SMILE (Associated with seven local congregations) An ecumenical community outreach ministry committed to service. The charity is comprised of seven churches in southern Calvert County whose purpose is to establish and operate an ecumenical ministry to enable people of all denominations to work together to provide food, clothing, and other forms of assistance and support for those in need. $1,000.00
Natural Disaster Fund FGCMD required $60.00
Penny Pines FGCMD required $68.00
