In addition to the many hours spent on club projects, the following cash donations were made during the April 2023 – March 2024 year by the Calvert Garden Club to support community organizations.

Marine Museum Solomons Island | The Calvert Marine Museum is a public, non-profit, educational, regionally oriented museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, research, and interpretation of the culture and natural history of Southern Maryland. The museum is dedicated to the presentation of three themes: regional paleontology, estuarine life of the tidal Patuxent River and adjacent Chesapeake Bay, and maritime history of these waters. This grant is intended for planting a Native Garden to benefit wildlife. | $750 |
Project Echo | Project Echo provides shelter for the homeless and chronically homeless. This grant is to be used to plant ground cover on the hill adjacent to the Parking lot to assist with erosion control. | $1000 |
Project Linus | Project Linus knits and supplies blankets for needy children. | $125 |
Calvert Animal Welfare League(CAWL) | CAWL is an all volunteer, no-kill shelter in Prince Frederick. This donation will be used for food and medication. | $100 |
